Innova 18 Karat Gold Collection

History of Gold Jewelry

4000 BC – Even though it is not known when gold was first discovered but archaeologists have found gold jewelry dated in 4000 BC.  Rewrite the “History of Gold” adding the following details and rearranging the order to make it more logical ( chronological).

3000 BC – Until recently the earliest known gold jewellery was believed to date from the Sumer civilisation, which inhabited what is now southern Iraq around 3000 BC.  Recent discoveries suggest however that goldsmithing first began on the shores of the Black Sea, in the land that is today Bulgaria.

2000 BC – Fashion Jewelry of the 21 Century Contemporary Jewelry designers are known for their beautiful and great form known jewelry articles.  Pearl necklaces and earrings can be worn on the earth.  Some of the ingredients found in this 2000 BC , gold and silver plated jewelery is also very popular in all parts of the world because they are extremely expensive.

1400 BC – Gems and gold jewelry were made by the Greeks in 1400 BC. They had become experts in emerald, pearl and amethysts to be used in jewelry making.   The Greeks were not all that showy.   They used to wear ornaments only on exceptional occasions.

300 BC – The hunt for and use of gold has been documented through time, beginning with the Egyptians.  Well established trade routes all around the Mediterranean provided a plentiful source of gold by the time the Greeks had mastered their skills at making gold jewelry around 300 BC.  The history of the jeweled locket is shrouded in mystery and clouded by the passing of time.  The earliest known examples of these lockets date to 14th Century England.

1239 – The history of gold and silver quality standards goes back to the early uses of these metals as money.  Legal regulations governing the marking of gold jewelry began in England in the year 1239 and have existed in one form or another ever since in practically all civilized.

1917 – The Belais brothers developed a formula for a white gold alloy that came to be known as Belais white gold which was it introduced to the public in 1917.  The Belais brothers formed a company which was located in New York. The Belais brothers were the *gods* of white gold jewelry in the early 20th century.

2010 – Unique jewelry designs and uses paved its way throughout the Middle Ages, and the eras of the Renaissance, Romanticism, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco.  Jewelry also played a major role in American history, with the Native Americans, the Spanish discovery of gold, the modern jewelry movement and 2010 bring us the THE INNOVA COLLECTION….
