Gemstone Picture Tiles – Add a touch of elegance anywhere

Agate (pronounced /ˈæɡət/) is a microcrystalline variety of quartz (silica), chiefly chalcedony, characterised by its fineness of grain and brightness of color. Although agates may be found in various kinds of rock, they are classically associated withvolcanic rocks but can be common in certain metamorphic rocks.[1]

Colorful agates and other chalcedonies were obtained over 3,000 years ago from the Achates River, now called Dirillo, inSicily.[2] The stone was given its name by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and naturalist, who discovered the stone along the shore line of the river Achates (Greek: Αχάτης) sometime between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC.[3] Agate is one of the most common materials used in the art of hardstone carving, and has been recovered at a number of ancient sites, indicating its widespread use in the ancient world; for example, archaeological recovery at the Knossos site on Crete illustrates its role inBronze Age Minoan culture.[4]

Ashli Jewelers is proud to announce the Agate Gemstone Picture Tile Collection.  Each Gemstone is unique in form, color and one-of-a-kind in the world.  Each is set together and solidly interconnected with a specially formulated resin-glue compound. The Esclaire Tile – Art Meets Science

As an abstract piece of art likened to the best works of the 20th century, the Esclaire Tile is not only stunning to look at, but enlightening too.  When you look at an Esclaire Tile, it’s colorful patterns shift and disappear, then reappear, depending upon viewing angle.

Eslaire Tile #1

Art meets Science

The Esclaire Tile is like a new form of kaleidoscope or New Age light puzzle.  You may see a bird, a sky, a galaxy, a landscape, human forms, just about anything really, contingent upon your subjective reasoning.  To think that ancient mineral crystals when seen through polarized light could be so interesting!

Eslaire Tile #2

For Architects and Interior Designers, the Esclaire Tile offers a unique and impressive ambient lighting solution

Polarized Light & Wellness

In a myriad of clinical studies, polarized light has been proven to have positive effects on the human body.  It can penetrate deep into cellular tissue, thereby stimulating the molecular structure of cell membranes.  It has been shown to help strengthen the body’s metabolism, the immune system and thereby, hasten the body’s regenerative processes.  Cuts and wounds appear to heal faster in polarized light.  The new science of Light Medicine is beginning to dawn and it appears to hold light-years of promise.

For color therapists and light researchers, the Esclaire Tile offers a way to explore polarized polychromatic light patterns (interference colors) oscillating through natural mineral crystal grids.

Harnessing the optical properties of muscovite

Eslaire Tile #4

In normal daylight, Muscovite (Potassium aluminum silicate hydroxide fluoride, which belongs to the Mica Group) is transparent / colorless

Muscovite possesses the optical property of birefringence (double refraction) meaning that it can split a beam of light into two rays.  One of the rays is faster than the other.  When polarized light is applied to a birefringent mineral (or material), the two rays of light are brought back together on one plane of oscillation, thereby creating beautiful interference colors within the mineral.

Mineral Light – A hybrid Light that is formed when Light is passed through Mineral Crystals

Mineral Light is light that becomes reconditioned geometrically through Mineral Crystals and enriched with over 250 millions years worth of Geo-Chemical information, thereby increasing it‘s overall informational content.

There are about 3000 known minerals on earth. All rocks are made of two or more minerals, but minerals are not made of rocks. A mineral is the same all the way through. That is one reason we speak of a sample or a specimen rather than a rock.

Each type of Mineral Crystal has a unique geometric structure and energy pattern, possessing stored information from eons ago. Consequently, mineral crystals store a high-value of information.

The atoms (or strings) in a mineral crystal are not just regularly stacked, static „billiard balls“, they are electrically charged. A ray of light that enters a crystal enters a regular, repeating geometric grid of vibrating electric charges and complex electric fields. Consequently, Light‘s own electric and magnetic fields interact with the fields already present in the crystal and Light is effectively slowed down and its wavelength shortened.

What emerges after Light has interacted with minerals crystals is a hybrid form of light – Mineral Crystal Light – that possesses the energy signature of the mineral crystal it has passed through. Crystallized Light Energy possesses a higher informational content that can be used to enrich the body, mind and soul as well as the environmental space that contains it.Panel Collage

Minerals of the Quartz family such as Amethyst, Rock Crystal, Rose Quartz, etc., possess the capability to rotate the plane of polarization of light

The mineral crystals in our Gemstone Panels such as rock crystal or rose quartz emit radiate energy which fall upon areas of our body. The frequencies of crystallized light energy emitted by the mineral light excite the minerals within our own body on a molecular level, causing similar (resonant) oscillations in our own elemental components.

Thus, we essentially absorb these frequencies and allow them to supplement our own natural trace-element frequencies. Gradually, through continued exposure to mineral light, the consistent frequencies emitted from the Gemstone Panel will cause deficient trace element frequencies within our body to resonate at their natural amplitudes and conditions, thereby rebalancing our physical and biochemical pathways. Our feeling of well-being is enhanced.

The exposure to light reconditioned through mineral crystals provides a new method of rebalancing the body and for refocusing the disparate and stray energy patterns within the immediate environment more coherently.

Experience the Light

Mineral Crystals, such as those in our backlit, illuminated Gemstone Panels and Tiles reorient the planes in which the Light is vibrating for better well-being.

Crystals are classified as being either isotropic or anisotropic depending upon their optical behavior and whether or not their crystallographic axes are equivalent. All isotropic crystals have equivalent axes that interact with light in a similar manner, regardless of the crystal orientation with respect to incident light waves. Light entering an isotropic crystal is refracted at a constant angle and passes through the crystal at a single velocity without being polarized by interaction with the electronic components of the crystalline lattice (structural form).

Litght explanation

Lightwaves passing through an Isotropic Crystal (left) and Lightwaves passing through an Anisotrophic Crystal (right).

Anisotropic crystals, on the other hand, have crystallographically distinct axes and interact with light in a manner that is dependent upon the orientation of the crystalline lattice with respect to the incident light. When light enters the optical axis of anisotropic crystals, it acts in a manner similar to interaction with isotropic crystals and passes through at a single velocity. However, when light enters a non-equivalent axis, it is refracted into two rays each polarized with the vibration directions oriented at right angles to one another, and traveling at different velocities. This phenomenon is termed „double“ or „bi“ refraction and is seen to a greater or lesser degree in all anisotropic crystals.

Examples of light passing through various sides of Crystals

Light Illustration

(Above) An Asterisk represents Light behaving uniformily as it enters a crystal lattice at that particular surface plane. Th e Light shall pass without any interruption at the same velocity. A Cross represents the location on a crystal lattice where Light entering shall be split into two polarized rays, running perpendicular to one another at 90°.  One ray shall be faster than the other. Th e diff erence between their speeds determines the mineral‘s refractive index.
